Each year, TAASE is fortunate to have the country's leading special education attorneys with us to review changes in federal regulations and the range of legal issues associated with implementing special education programs in the state's public schools.

In 2008, the TAASE board of directors voted to institute a new award: The TAASE Cup.

This award serves as a combined memorial award in memory of Richard Yoakley, Paul Coffey, and Jo Bellanti, three individuals who demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to educating children with disabilities.

Four TAASE Cups will be awarded at the Fall Legal Conference each year, TAASE membership will nominate and vote to award one TAASE Cup to one recipient from each of the three regions of Tennessee , and one TAASE Cup will be awarded by the TAASE board.

More information and voting instructions will be sent to TAASE members by your regional board member representatives.
